Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove) Bud Oil
Essential oil obtained from clove flower buds. It is compositionally dominated by eugenol, with smaller amounts of eugenyl acetate and beta-caryophyllene. In cosmetics it is used mainly as a fragrance ingredient and for its antimicrobial/antiseptic character, but it is a potent sensitizing essential oil and a frequent fragrance allergen.
